Visa Application: Schengen Visa at the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany

I've already been to Europe last 2014 when I was still a student. Now is a different case-- I am unemployed. Together with my family, we are planning to go to Germany this April 4. I am still working as a clinical pharmacist at St. Luke's Medical Center when I was preparing for the application. Unfortunately, my request for leave of absence was not granted and have to resign before April, I can't use "student" since I wasn't enrolled yet to any medical school, so I applied as unemployed.

It's easy to know what you should prepare and what to do for the application since all the details that you need are in their website: German Embassy Manila

You can download the list of requirements at their website depending on what Visa you will apply to. In our case, its is family visit since my sister is working in Germany. I think it's easier to get a visa when you have someone (like a friend or a family member) residing in Germany rather than tourist alone.

Here's what I did in preparation for the application:

1. Get an Appointment Schedule

  • Under Schengen visa, click continue

  • You may choose your preferred schedule thereafter
2. Prepare the Requirements
** You may download and print a hard copy of the requirements

Printed Visa application form that you must accomplish online.

-- Though I applied as unemployed, I have my savings of my own. I passed copies of my bank accounts.
